I just ran into a Silver guy up in MSP and he said they're still pursuing the SJU flying. I heard Silver gave that up. Anyone know anything?

You're guess is as good as ours. As per us going away from the UAL codeshare, I think the passengers will go away also.

"Everyday is like the first time we've ever done it" that seems to be the appropriate motto to all actions here. It's hard to remain stand alone vision and express jet tried those and they didn't work out as planned. Especially in a regional market being an LCC prolly won't work too well.

Time will only tell EAS is not a guarantee for renewal

There is a lot of omg the sky is falling down being spread around here... Sabre was planned for awhile as was an interline agreement most likely. I could be completely wrong here but the company is doing what they are to increase profits. Implementing Sabre/UAL interline agreement makes total sense and will increase revenue. Passengers will go nowhere since they will still be buying a ticket under the UAL or Silver reservation system. Maybe they will want to go it alone one day, but that is not the goal right now.

While I 100% agree with you I do have one question.

What happens to our travel bennies? If they go the way of the pegasus how are we going to retain FAs?

Cruz5350 01-27-2013 08:52 PM

I fail to see how these changeovers would have anything to do with losing travel bennies....

Well... The job posting is back. Apparently we are so overstaffed we need to hire more pilots. https://home2.eease.adp.com/recruit2/?id=5531442&t=1

We are not over staffed anymore. We have taken more airplanes, more flying and lost 16 people since October.
