And about the right seat qualification, all a CA needs to do is a V1 cut and single engine landing from the right seat in sim...My sim partner was a CA, im an FO. I sat right seat for my ride, then his, then we switched so that he could get his qualification for the right side. That's all you need.

But to fly the line they need to have full ioe in the right seat.
|
Due to the fact that most captains where never an FO in this aircraft as the company got these Saab's as a fleet replacement , captains need to do IOE in the right seat to be qualified. There was confusion in the beginning as to simply switching seats in the sim makes you checked out but that needed up not being the case.
Just like the example of ex Q400 driver had to do both IOE in both seats ... |

Well I think AOO has an open line for FOs this month. Not sure how that's getting covered.
IAD is needing a reserve FO and ATL is needing two reserve CAs Come to IAD with me...I have protein shakes.....bring your own blender bottle though. Come back to Hulie-Land. Upgrade next month and get me off reserve. lol |

Yeah that was a company miss understanding. The company thought they were right seat qual'd until the FAA informed them differently (had to have IOE as well).
The manual is very clear on that point. |

This is one of those "how could they have misunderstood?" moments.
