But the Spark Notes version is: $10,000 per year per airline. $5,000 initiation fee for first time airlines. The Company sees it as benefiting only a select few bases and cannot justify the cost. But if you come up with a clever way to raise $10,000 ourselves, we can probably get the Company to sign up.
Car wash maybe?

Hey Guys
I applied for Silver a few weeks back and got a call this week. I am not hard up for a job but I do miss flying, ex military engineer and previous part 135 pilot. I'm told that Silver is trying to make basing at major hubs and if I came on line this year by the end of training it would be all major hub basing. I know, don't drink the kool aid...It sounds like they are trying to make a better QOL for the pilots. I was also told they need 80, yes eighty pilots this year. Do that many guys jump ship from there.

I doubt they'll switch to hub basing this year. Everything I was told during my interview was a straight up lie. They were hiring people for the new IAD and ATL systems but assured me I could be holding a line in Florida in a few months. I struggled to hold a line at the most junior base after 6 months. They are bleeding pilots for a reason

Kavu, as you may already know, positive things, or company promises/projections always seem to take longer then originally anticipated. I believe that is an industry standard, and standard with many things in life. Hub basing may happen, but maybe not as fast as they're advertising.
