News

I am wondering what the recent news is at Silver?
Pay
Bases
Upgrade/Street Captains

PenAir's pay for the same fleet type is higher but not sure if that means anything?

I don't the hurricanes are helping much either. Seaborne might have nowhere to go?

Is there anybody out there?

Bueller

What are the chances of TPA as a new hire?

Junior bases right now are MCO and TPA so you have a big chance to get one of them and if you get MCO, in a couple of months may be 2 you will be in TPA.

Hope that helps.

Still waiting for the ATR, I heard we supposed to have a class running for this month and most of them are instructors which are the first one to get the ATR training. No street captain as a right now but if you come with prior 121 you can upgrade in about 3-6 months. If you don't have 121 time your upgrade time is about 15-18 months. Pay is not the same than penair.

FO first year start at 34 dollars and basically is a dollar pay raise every year.

As a right now there's no merge with seaborne but who knows with all those hurricane that Impacted the Caribbean that might change but no words on that merge yet. Two separates company so far.

So I decided to submit my resume today, within 45 min got the call. Phone interview on the spot, went well. Headed down to FLL next week.

Wow congratulations! I’m also strongly considering Silver for many different reasons. Can you give an advice/insight into the phone interview? Also, are you headed to FLL for the in person interview? I’m sitting around 1100TT, but I’ve mostly been flying VFR aerial survey.

I'm considering Silver and I live in Jacksonville, how easy is it to get a commutable schedule out of MCO? I'd prefer 3 or 4 day trips rather than daily out and backs. I'm looking at Regionals that will make commuting from JAX the easiest. Thanks.

I was the HR phone interview. Was very honest and straight forward. The lady was very pleasant to talk to and I actually enjoyed it. Only thing I can say is just be yourself and you would be fine. I think what experience you do or don't have is what will make you get the call or not.
