Last pool update (Jan/2021) stated they have "a forecast" that could see pre pandemic flight levels in Q3. Reading in, possible Q3/Q4 classes.

Default JSX Update

No positive news here. Still have half the pilots on UTO and the call backs are very slow. They were grossly over staffed before the pandemic, and now they’re being ultra conservative working everything with a skeleton crew. Phoenix crew base is still closed, I don’t see it opening anytime soon despite good demand. It looks like they will try to move more routes to Texas. Not sure what will happen to the Phoenix pilots, they weren’t allowing pilots to commute to Dallas, they are forcing them to move there if they want to change bases and fly there.

This is a little off topic, but my understanding is you guys are in CASS now. Do you allow offline guys to jumpseat?

Yeah they have been CASS for a while and allow it on scheduled flights except into SNA I believe.

Offline jumpseaters were always welcome and encouraged, except for flights in and out of SNA due to the yearly passenger count restrictions. Unfortunately the county counts jumpseaters, company and offline, as part of the passenger counts. Unless things have changed since I was last there, anyone in CASS can list regardless of reciprocal agreements and you do so at the lounge with one of the concierge/check-in agents.

Thank you both for the info!

And contrary to what others have said recently, there has been positive news. Recalls have been made and we’ve expanded our route structure. We’ve added San Diego and Destin, Florida to our list of destinations.

Updates:
Last 2 weeks of May were the best in JSX history. June is shaping up to be another record setter.

They plan to bring back all UTOs and furloughs around August and begin hiring in the Fall.

BFI base is not anticipating a return.

That's fantastic news! Glad to see everyone is slowly coming back. How are things structured out on the line now? Is 7/7 still the baseline schedule or are they doing irregular patterns? Is 8/6 ever going to be an option again? Are lines still built as all daytrips or are overnights coming back? Are they allowing people to commute to Dallas base again?
