I was on 9th. Haven't heard anything yet. Interview was pretty straightforward.

They’re even going to pay PPP money in back pay which, again, they don’t have to do at all as it was also explained by Bob. JSX isn’t Southwest or American or even a regional, it’s a small pt135 operator, to compare them operationally as well as government aid during the pandemic goes, they’re not the same at all. As far as FedEx goes, the point is that they’re moving on to places like that. I agree, eventually compensation needs to go up especially since the Legacy carriers are hiring. They’re going to have to decide what kind of pilot compensation they’ll have to stay competitive if they truly want to grow the operation.
That’s the problem, JSX conveyed the exact opposite to its pilots. Pre COVID they continually made statements about how they had enough cash on hand to survive the next 5 years even in the worst case scenario. During COVID, they made statements saying they were sitting the best out of any airline, with a lot of cash on hand. They even said they were going to use the opportunity to buy more airplanes at a discounted price. None of this turned out to be true. Even with the PPP money they couldn’t pay 60% of their pilots, and they did not buy more airplanes, they are actually short airplanes now.

None of what they’ve said adds up. I would be very cautious going here.

IS JSX currnetly hiring?

What does the 2022 hiring forecast look like? is it slowing down or are pilots moving to the regionals since air travel has slowly picked up?

I believe we are hiring again in early 2022 to fill spots for attrition as well as projected company growth.

Interview was super simple. Honestly, people are shocked at how simple it is. Just be yourself. There is a technical. Brush up on your Jepp charts and how to read/ brief them. Be receptive when you’re coached through something you don’t quite know. Otherwise, no sims. It’s all done at the hotel and there is a mixer afterwards. Super relaxed environment. We are looking for the personality that fits our brand.

I see they have Phenoms listed under Superior Air Charter. Are these day trips as well? I can't tell if it's separate from JSX or not.
