Are there EAS routes in the northeast? If I get based out in the midwest are those bases commutable? I could not make the move with my family out there on a FO salary but it would be do-able if I were to stay in New England.

Ah, I do understand now that the FO's in Guam are for the 121 operation. Do you know the details about the 402 FO contract?

Thank you!
Yes there are several of EAS routes in the Northeast. They have EAS routes in Maine, NY, Boston, Vermont, and NH.

I don't know the fine details of the FO contract but after your ATPL you do one year commitment in the 402 as Captain or FO in Guam (if it's open).

Yes the contract is still on the table. Cape air doesn't really need FOs in their 402 operation, but they slap them on EAS routes so it doesn't matter if they FO fills in a seat since Cape Air is profiting regardless if they have a 0% load factor.

However, here's the dichotomy. They need FOs to become Captains. The only pilots that are going to Cape Air with an ATPL is forced retired pilots. A lot of captains that are currently flying were FOs flying on the right seat.

Cape air was tired of seeing FOs leave after they hit 1500 hrs and go off fly shiny jets at the regionals. Flying the 402s in the right seat will make you a better pilot than being a flight instructor. If you don't want to be a captain in the 402, hop over to Guam and be an FO in the ATR.

Default Interview

Hello,

I’ll be having my skype interview on the 6th. Hoping anybody can share their skype interview experience? Sample questions, what they go over, etc. Anything would be a big help.

Thank you,
Lance

Hey got a call from these guys today.. Just so im clear on the 30k contract... do you only pay it if you leave before putting in 1 year as a capt? or do you pay it regardless of tenure? Also looking to get into BIL base.. fairly junior or?

Thanks!

Any updated info on junior bases? Could one expect to get BOS out of training and hold it?

Only pay it back if you leave before putting in one year as Capt.

Just applied to Cape, 580TT 16Multi. What are the chances of me getting BOS or any other southern New England base as an FO? If I do get BOS what are the routes? Also, how does the overtime/schedules work for FO's?

Thank you!
