You may not have the seniority to stay in one base for your first year, but after that you may be able to hold the more junior bases year round in any region excepting Florida.

Totally depends on where you fly. If you are based in the EAS outstations like I was, you'll probably log between 75 and 85 hours a month. If you are based on the Cape or somewhere with shorter legs (30 minutes or less), I think you'll log more like 50-60 hours a month. My first year I logged 869 hours (most of it in RUT), my second I logged 661 (most of it in EWB).
