Not that I know of, but the backup folks can keep pretty busy with tdy assignments but everyone ultimately has a base.

Yeah if you bid an SVT (sick/vacation/tdy coverage) line in a hub like BOS, and let the crew schedulers know that you love TDY, they can keep you busy. I think one of the BOS TDY guys this month has something like a week in SLK, then a week in OGS, then a week in RUT. All those hotel points and per diem checks start to add up! And for what its worth, the SVT lines are almost always junior, so if you want it, you can pretty much have it year round.

Just the airplanes, ttbomk, all of the tail numbers end in BK. I'd rather spend a couple of hours being interrogated by Sayid Jarrah, than fly ACK and back for a living.

Is there anyway to not have to move twice a year? I'd love to work there, but I can't have the wife pack up and move every six months.

You may not have the seniority to stay in one base for your first year, but after that you may be able to hold the more junior bases year round in any region excepting Florida.

What, you mean you weren't as entertained by the thought as I was?
