To paraphrase a line from Office Space, "I wouldn't say they've been missing it." The profits in that segment are too thin to chase. (yes, I note the sarcasm of the parent).
Things that make you say, "Hmmmm." Curious where all of this stands in 12 months. How did TPG ownership work out for Midwest Airlines?
Same here. TPG Group has a significant portfolio. Some hits, some misses. Using Midwest as an example is a bit disingenuous, however.

Do all new hires start out in the beechjet, or what are the chances of getting into the hawker as a new hire?

It's whatever they need at the time. Either airframe is fair game. Both pay the same in the right seat.

You be the judge. That's in 15 days. Add in a few airline trips and rental car excursions to repo to other aircraft and see what your definition of not too bad is after your 6th rotation. Like driving from Indianapolis to Chicago or Wilmington, DE to White Plains during a snowstorm? Make sure National doesn't forget the ice scraper for you Fiat 500.

Here's a scenario you'll enjoy give or take a few details: Do a redeye from Van Nuys to Teterboro, hand off the aircraft to a "fresh" crew, then take a car to Newark and airline to Miami. Hit the hotel to get that 10 hours of rest, then drive to Forth Lauderdale Executive to pick up a semi-broken plane and repo it to Midway for a maintenance recovery flight of a very-broken plane. Then take said very-broken plane with a VFR only ferry permit to Rockford. From Rockford, TRY to find a one-way rental car to Midway for a 5 a.m. flight the next morning in another aircraft. Wait, was that less than 48 hours? Only 356 hours remaining in this rotation. Not too bad.

Any big changes lately because of the union or the purchase?
