Thumbs up All the above..

Hey CT.

I have friends there that live in base, Fairfield area, close by, and at the maximum distance and then some who stay with a friend in the area. Their 6/3 schedule is unsustainable and will change, but who knows when. I know several there who are already looking because of the 6/3 and only because of the 6/3. They would stay there, otherwise, because they don't need PIC, they don't need jet time, they just wanted stability, good pay, benefits, and decent schedule. They all thought that they could survive it until it changed, but got there and realized they could not. A friend of mine left shortly after getting on at Wheels Up for XOJET, which was a $20,000 per year pay cut. His reason: 6 days on/3 days off SUCKS!

I believe management in England is calling the shots, and not listening to their US CP and DO saying that this schedule isn't going to retain people. Much like how Field Marshall Montgomery was given charge of US troops and didn't want any input from their commanders: That didn't work out well, either. When Management there realizes that they are turning into a King Air 350 revolving door training facility, the schedule will improve. Nobody starts out with a 7/7 or even an 8/6 schedule: It has to be fought for and secured.

For those people in South Florida, how does Wheels Up compare to JetSuite in terms of starting Capt/FO salaries, benefits and schedule? Is JetSuite competitive? 6/3 at Wheels Up sounds a bit rough.

Its all super-secret unofficial rumors at this point. Rumor 1 has the Citations coming initially from Citation Air (repainted/refurb-ed) Rumor 2 has Gama buying Citation Air's cert, Rumor 3 is that they are all coming factory new. The only truth is that in a given amount of time (who knows how long) we will know an official answer...either way, it sounds like an exciting opportunity.

Hopefully Citation Air pilots can positively benefit from this!

Heard recently that in indoc class they are telling new hire CA's that is pay is actually 65K instead of the 75-80K.

Truth...or fiction?

Were FO's still being quoted $55,000 to start?

FOs and Captains pay based on King Air experience.

Captain 70k w/o King Air time. Captain with King Air time 80k.

same for FOs... 50k vs. 54k or so.. don't recall specifics

If you come in without King Air experience, you will then be experienced as time goes and then paid more. That time is TBD.
