I live close to HPN. Would there be a chance of being home at night during a duty period?

I spent three nights last tour in HPN. That being said, I had not been there for the three months prior. It is all random.

You'll absolutely get a random night there probably fairly often.

I am hoping to get on board with Gama, as I am not sure the airlines are for me. Really like the personal contact with clients/passengers and the variety of flying that 135 provides.

Just hard to find a good 135 operator out there...Gama seems to be one of the better ones to work for from what I have read so far.
The real good ones will have no training contract. Good luck in your search

Default Log SIC time in a King Air 350?

I am considering GAMA, and may not have the times for a captain.

Maybe a dumb question, but if you are flying right seat in a KA-350, is it a required flight crew of 2 and you get to log SIC time? My brother has flew the 350 single pilot at part 91 a lot.

Yes, required flight crew because their Op Specs dictate that there must be two crew. So it is logable as SIC and Total time while flying SIC.

Most also have "SIC Required" on their licence if they did their initial type with Gama.

A little clarification. The OPSPECS do not make any Part 135 require an SIC. All Part 135 IFR passenger carrying operations require an SIC due to the regs. (135.101) However, some operators receive OPSPEC A015, which allows the use of an autopilot in lieu of an SIC as long as the aircraft is 9 seats or less. (135.105) Gama does not have that OPSPEC.
Gama is also an Eligible On-Demand carrier, EOD, (135.4) which also requires a 2 pilot crew and there is no relief from that.

Just need to remember, that repo legs are 91 and you cannot log SIC in them.
