Off topic, but does PDT training sim time count toward the 1500tt? I think I heard of Repub or some other taking you on at 1400...

Thanks

Isn't BL supposed to save us all? His rhetoric has been conveniently silent since Halloween...

Your best bet is to apply and talk to a recruiter... what they look for changes from time to time depending on the overal Performance of previous applicants in training, the quality of th current pool of applicants and their ability to fill classes. Only they know what they’re looking for this week.

That i do not know for sure. The answer may very well lie in the recruiter's knowledge of the regs and willingness and approval to lean on it to bring an applicant aboard earlier.

Under the regs it counts, up to 100 hours of it. I know for a fact there have been several here that used a combo of prior sim time from 121/141/142/135 and PDT training to exceed the 1500 hour requirement. One example had 1430ish aircraft + Part 141 University FTD + PDT sim training to reach the 1500 . Said individual did not complete their instrument rating at the University, so they were not eligible for the 1000 hr R-ATP exemption.

His rhetoric has been silent... I know they don't require college degrees in this industry anymore but come on
