Most major airlines hold FO’s to the same standard as CA’s. Regionals dont seem to do that.

I agree, I just think it’s crazy that AAG will send someone who couldn’t pass as an FO, who would be flying WITH a CA, back to flying their same passengers as a CA with less experienced FO’s. Granted, I think the majority of those guys are done. But, it’s still crazy!

It is and it isn’t. Many of those guys just had trouble learning new, technologically advanced airplanes. They can’t handle themselves just fine on the old trash we fly.
And it’s kind of out of AAs hands, our flow agreement has flow back language. I agree with you though, still flying passengers under their name who bought tickets off of their website

That is fine to want..... But to violate a contract (change an agreement) to make it a reality is a little disconcerting to be honest. A slippery slope the more You think about it. An LOA is a contract, an agreement, you shouldn’t be able to change it willy nilly. If they really wanted it, then they should have put it in a contract that was agreed upon.
If AAG gets away with this, who is to stop them from adding 3 year CA requirement? Heck, why not 5 years? Why not Check Airmen? Why not a 4 year degree too? Why not a Masters? Where does it stop?
Then the flow we have and agreed to in a contract, is no longer the flow we agreed to, and put up with our bottom tier pay for the “light at the end of the tunnel” was all for not. Your chances will be better with just an application and a better paying regional.
I don’t know what PSA or Envoys contract looked like, but sounds like those union dues need to be put to use and lawyer up.
