AA is shaping it's WO'd regionals for the future. Down the road it will be more difficult to get on at AA without being at one. For once I'm glad im on this side of the fence.

It makes perfect sense, assures a steady flow of applicants for the Regionals and Lower cost of operation as long as you keep taking them up the ladder.

As long as you can replace those pilots, yes. There will come a point where sucking up pilots from their own regionals will hurt their operation via cancellations at regionals for lack of crew.

Thankfully the deals ensure they will have to continue to do so, shortage or no

It's almost the same at the other usair wholly-owned. 21 hours for one vacation period which is 7 days instead of 5 days like you have. You guys can turn your five days into upwards of 10-11 (4.2/day x 5 = 21) it sounds like if you bid properly. At the other WO'd you can turn 7 vacation days into 8-9 if you plan accordingly.

You can spend 10 or more years at a wholly owned and get a job at AA. Or spend 5 at some other regional and take you chances with an interview.

How can you brag about 28.37 per hour?

Hahahhaha you must be a pretty awesome pilot or have an unchecked ego to assume you'll get hired after 5 years by a legacy.

Upgrade here will drop to 2 years in a couple of months. Nothing is stopping anyone here from applying to ual and dal. In fact, one of our FO ' S just got hired by ual. Carry on.
