Our website is free, but either are fine. One is not better than the other.

60%? No. It is closer to 10%.

You will pick your ipt/sim partner a couple days into class. You have plenty of time to meet everyone in class, during lunch/dinner, and in study groups at the hotel.

Good advice. A weak partner or one who won't study can damage both of you.

Very true!

Recently, while a ground instructor, I had a crew come through who did very well in the beginning. They clearly worked together, studied and chair-flew together through the first half of IPTs. Then, for some unknown reason, they stopped doing what was clearly working.

One partner was prior military and was able to adjust for his partner's decision to stop working with him. He passed. The partner who decided to stop working with his partner fell far behind...so far behind that he didn't complete training.

Is anyone commuting out of GSP? Are there any big issues doing so?

I know a few people that commute out of GSP and they say it is pretty easy. It is a short flight on PSA airplanes, and is a short drive to CLT if you don't want to list for 2 flights.

We just opened a MX base there as well, so that usually means additional flights in and out.

From GSP I'd recommend just driving. Way less stress.

What is the longest driving commute you'd recommend, not considering SCR and hot?
