Well the CP's better tell the union that they are wrong. Because the union fast read and the email both state you must fly the original block hours awarded round 1, pre-SAP. If you SAP below the original block hours, awarded before SAP, you will not get paid holiday pay. Personally I think the CP's have it correct. But if not and people bid below, there are going to be some really missed off folks.

The LOA is pretty clear to me. If you fly your trips as awarded over The Holiday Period you get 200% but T.R. is saying you have to fly the whole month at or above awarded credit.
We have one CP agreeing with me and another saying you can't go below awarded.
What a clown show.

I agree, I personally read the LOA as clearly saying you can still sap down and receive holiday pay as long as you keep your originally awarded thanksgiving trip. But then multiple emails have said you have to fly above awarded block to receive the 200% holiday pay, no matter what. So I'm gonna go with what the union has said several times.

Great! Less competition for good trips during the SAP.

I bid round one with the understanding that I would be able to SAP all but the Holiday Period.

I've got a letter wth Kieth Stampers signature on it that says 200% over Holiday Period. That trumps TR's email and lack of reading comprehension.

TR needs to say that either he was wrong or the LOA is in error. Five hours to the SAP and nothing.

It's a clown show.

I'm assuming reserves that get used on the "holiday" days will get the shaft, as that flying wasn't really mentioned.

Did anyone read that differently?

Good question, especially since the number of CLT Round 2 lines dropped significantly. Still lots of reserve lines though. Going backwards in Charlotte for FO's.

There are over 20 Short Call lines in CLT that have Thanksgiving off and 28 R2 lines in total that have it off. Lots of junior CA's will be able to have the holiday off if they want.

How many total Round 2 lines in CLT for Captains, that have a schedule and not reserve? For the FO's in CLT, there are only 17 Round 2 lines TOTAL. For the last few months there have been around twice that.
Of those 17 lines, only 2 have Thanksgiving day off.

There are 66 reserve lines. Of those, 21 have Thanksgiving day off.

For CLT CA's, only 14 BU lines, 1 of which has a couple SCR days mixed in. It is usually much closer to 30 BU lines. A total of 96 CA's got BU/LCR/SCR this month in CLT.

CLT has been growing for CA's in the past few months. It shrunk when DCA opened, but is filling back in now.
