This throws me through a loop. Pax number is still sitting around 30-40% for TSA. Bases, especially DC, still don't have much flying. Lost the deuces with no talk of getting aircraft making us overstaffed on that basis alone. Not quite sure and don't understand hiring.
Even if bookings are up come summer we are overstaffed right now for airframes on property. Makes zero sense to me.

Right... captain vacancy prelim is showing I could hold the seat again, but now would be commuting to reserve. Buuuut do I want to reupgrade to redowngrade if/when it goes sideways again?

Management definitely knows something we don’t
As a general rule, pilots don’t have the right to DO anything, they just get the pay that would accompany their stature. So the company, in its wisdom, could pay furloughees to wait while new hires went through sim.
