Nobody wants to apply at Mesa, they do so knowing they don’t have a choice.

 

Mesa is where you go if you have multiple checkride failures, cause no one else will call you. Mesa hires anyone.

 

Mesa is the fat chick at the house party. It's 3 am, everyone else is either in their rooms getting it on, or drunk and passed out on the couch. Its just you.. and Mesa.. the last two left. Its not ideal, but you have no other options. You're not proud of the decision you're about to make, your parents would be ashamed of the things you're about to do. You know your peers will ridicule you, but you're out of options and you need SOMETHING. That something.. is Mesa.. you close your eyes and get to work, under delusion that what you're doing as more glamorous than the embarrassing reality. You justify your actions, hoping it ends soon. But Mesa contacts you 3 months later, you're connected for life. You should have worked harder, you should have made better decisions, you shouldn't have settled for that Mesa offer, but now its too late.

Just did my HR interview today - was asked last weekend to fill out flight hours so looks like it takes about a week for each step

 

I think the technical portion people are waiting a bit longer. Understandable though because that's an actual live one on one session.

 

So I’m starting to hear rumors about growth and DFW opening very soon. Anyone hearing this too?

 

 

I’m starting to finally think there is some truth to it, with 40 new hire pilots per class and 2-4 classes per month.

 

Haven't heard personally. Would be nice though if it ended up happening at some point.
