Hey guys,
Finally, after almost 2 years of being in contact with PSA through the cadet program have a class date for May 24 (May 10 CTP). I'm sure there's a lot of you out there who would say don't go to the airlines now, but it's something I've wanted since I was a kid, and since I am young, with no family obligations, I can suck it up for the first several months if it's tough.
My question is, how bad is commuting on reserve, really? And, what advice would you all have?
I have a feeling I'lI periodically be based in PHL or DCA as a NH. I live an hour North of CLT, so once I can hold that as reserve it will be no issue relocating or driving to CLT. I have 2 other airports and CLT I can commute out of, and all of these airports are located central to where I live.
Financially, I can afford EITHER paying for my own commuter hotels OR signing a lease on an apartment in either PHL or DCA (Or DAY if I surprisingly got it) for the time being. I still have a warm place at home, so I can also come home whenever.
Also- I'd love to hear any tips for Class and the on boarding process!
Thanks,
M
