get your hours and get out. Regionals are a stepping stone and QOL sucks at all of them compared to the majors. I don’t know why people think they’re going to be here a long time.. do your 2-3 years and start applying around. If they want to fly your ass off, great.. more hours quickly is great for most people looking to move on to the majors.. Bunch of crybabies on here that act like having to do your job is not fair… suck it up, get that cash and experience, and move on to the next step in your career

He's still in indoc. Doe eyed GA astronaut. He doesn't know what he doesn't know. Scheduling will get him to violate the contract. We'll have to mentor further down to his level and get him straightened out on the line. This is a union shop, we all pull in the same direction here.

But I agree with Chris's sentiment in that time is on our side, the contract negotiations are around corner and will drag out for an extended period of time. Supply and demand will quickly and robustly return to being in our favor. Hopefully our union leaders can make some valuable improvements. I'm just not in favor of giving the company any concessions earlier than necessary. And please believe, PBS is a gigantic concession.

Don't hook that MV Saltboi. You don't want to lose the privilege of choosing your next stepping stone.

Go to a LCC for a year and then Major if you have to.. I know people who have done that… get a little creative vs waiting on the FLoW

Unfortunately it isn't that easy right now. Pre covid yes the LCC were picking up regionals guys after 500-1000 hours. Now that there are regionals who went under and still plenty of pilots on the streets as a result it is no longer as easy. Not as simple as I'll come to a regional for a year or two then go to an LCC. I know at least in my case I want to ride out a career at an LCC for QOL purposes and hopefully that day comes.

Legacy’s were picking up 200 PIC guys as well, what a time.

At least you've got that HR done, and congrats btw.
I am still waiting for ANY emails after having submitted the additional hours experience form :-(
