And just wait till when we lose the effectiveness of SAP that we have today, switch to PBS and require a lesser amount of pilots to staff the same amount of aircraft/flying. Seat movement will stagnate and QoL will plummet. Less days off and less flexibility. The flying we get from Daddy Doug has no sign of changing. The trips will continue to be mostly poor. There will be ZERO reason to come here unless you live in base with no other options. Kind of a Mesa scenario at that point.

But I agree with Chris's sentiment in that time is on our side, the contract negotiations are around corner and will drag out for an extended period of time. Supply and demand will quickly and robustly return to being in our favor. Hopefully our union leaders can make some valuable improvements. I'm just not in favor of giving the company any concessions earlier than necessary. And please believe, PBS is a gigantic concession. Don't hook that MV Saltboi. You don't want to lose the privilege of choosing your next stepping stone. |

Unfortunately it isn't that easy right now. Pre covid yes the LCC were picking up regionals guys after 500-1000 hours. Now that there are regionals who went under and still plenty of pilots on the streets as a result it is no longer as easy. Not as simple as I'll come to a regional for a year or two then go to an LCC. I know at least in my case I want to ride out a career at an LCC for QOL purposes and hopefully that day comes.
