The FAA clarified and updated what time qualifies you to fly as captain under Part 121.
Thanks for the link

What about 135 time for the high-time FO bonus? I have roughly 2600 TT, 1950 Turbine, 900 SIC Turbine under part 135 but very little 135 PIC.

APC says 91 or 135 but PSA's website doesn't seem to have details on that part.

Read FAR 121.436 to see if your time qualifies. The bonus is designed to attract pilots who can upgrade faster, but they have to be close according to the FARs.

Does anyone have a good estimate of current class dates? I put in an application at Republic about a two months ago and made my Cadet status very clear and haven't gotten/ heard anything back other than the generic "Thank you for applying!" E-Mail. I am getting my resume updated and plan to finish up the PSA application in the next few days since I haven't heard anything from Republic.

EDIT: figured I'd throw in that a Republic recruiter replied to my E-Mail in early January that class dates weren't restarting until June of 2023, but that was before I submitted my application.

The need for new FO’s depends on the availability of captains. My guess is the numbers are very ad hoc month-to-month

if I were you I’d assume the same. June is what I’ve heard as well but that can always change. We can’t just focus on only Dec and high time fo cause then in 18 months we’re in the same trouble as we are right now, so I imagine they’ll fill in slots here and there. But straight up new hires? June or beyond

I'm considering joining PSA as a DEC. I've heard there may be an accelerated program to Line Check Airman. Is that still a thing?

Also what is the current Junior base for DEC? I assume DCA

Thanks

DCA DFW PHL are junior. I would plan on DCA though. CLT and DAY very senior

As far as DEC on airline apps it asked about the 1000 hours part 121 in last 5 years. 500 turbine etc within the past 5 years but then on the requirements on their website it doesn’t mention within 5 years. Are the hours within the past 5 years a requirement? Mine were within the past 6. I have been part 91 for the last 5 years but have 3000 121 hours
