some reserves are being TDY'd to CLT in May too.... on the company. we are having some weird staffing issues. Very few reserve trades were approved in May, operational coverage seems nil.

Also the yearly system wide bid is out for base changing, FYI. I have a feeling this will alleviate the back up of TYS an DAY FO's looking for CLT.

Just wondering, do we have anyone interested in running for union president? We need to recall these scum bags asap. Two shifts of hot rsv in Dayton now. Anyone who upgrades or has been been here less then a year, is seat locked for 12 months and cant go to Usair according to the "career opportunity" loa. These peices of sh!t appearantly forgot to mention these little items. Time for a recall.

On second hand, I dont even know why im surprised. This place is a joke and always has been. Our union lies to us to get a ta passed. And still dont have a copy of the God damn contract! Wonder what theyre changing in there as we speak. Get my time and the hell out I guess. No point in getting ****ed. Anyone who might be furloughed and is looking for a paycheck for now, be warned: You cant go to Usair from psa until you put in 12 months in your seat.

That 12 months in the seat thing sounds reasonable to me. whats the big deal?

Let me ask you this. Lets say youve put in 6 years at this place. Now youre looking to upgrade. But if you do, you cant go to airways for 12 momths. Do you know how many people will get hired ahead of you in that time ? Hundreds. No big deal though.

Oh yeah. I was thinking new hires for some reason. I would probably kick a hole in the side of the plane, break some static wicks etc etc

The worst part is that there was absolutely no mention of this from our union during road shows. Anyways, I'm done ranting. Sometimes I make the mistake of forgetting where I work and actually expect something other than complete BS.

what ever happened to "Thanks for your YEARS of service", "In appreciation, we are going to offer you a seniority number", "you may not start right away but in time you can feel safe in knowing you will accruing seniority".

But......NOOOOOOOOOO

Airways is going to accept 3 pilots max/month.
You have to give up your personal employment file.
You cannot have upgraded or become a new hire in the past 12 months.
You lose seniority/longevity/flow back rights etc....

Basically airways is saying "This document will limit the amount of pilots we can afford to lose at PSA. It puts you at a disadvantage, and offers you nothing in return for your years of service. BTW you have no choice to agree. ALPA is signing it on your behalf".
The DOL cannot protect you against this unfair hiring practice because of this document.
