Says the guy posting links on APC to make extra cash. Its irrelevant how many hours of PIC I log per month but I AM much better off.

The place is fabulously craptastic! Take it from someone who has been there. Don't gamble with PSA and your future.

You will never get to mainline working for PSA. The side letter the union negotiated then changed behind the pilots back gives you basically nothing but more difficulty getting an American number.
You will be forced to grovel for a job the pilots were to have been contractually entitled to. The exception being legacy children, minorities, etc...they get plucked right out.

The president of the company is the most gigantic dick ever to count beans. He cut off his fingers in a bandsaw and everyone laughed. Its too bad he did not cut off his hand and bleed to death. Everyone would have been glad.

You are 50% likely to get a pink slip in any given training event due to unprofessional APD's (yes, its stands for Another PSA ********) in their pathetic training department. We are talking about a few pathetic pilots who suck on the line and take it out on people that CAN actually fly in the sim. They are drunk on their power and will give you grief with no provocation because...they can. If you don't mind having a pink slip in you file, due in large part, to the departments incompetence then have at the place. Their upgrade is only a week long and you will very likely recieve a pink slip. Its PSA's way of saying "we think you are worthless sh1t and our training curriculum shows it"

The idiocracy of the Alpacrats is only surpassed by those of PCL in their recent gifts to Delta management. They have inked a concessionary agreement that will last for a very long time with arguably very little improvement and concessionary token raises.

There will never be growth there. You will feel and be nothing more than USAirways putred afterbirth. Profit sharing will not be allocated even if/when you produce great numbers. You can literally help the company by flying a flight that would have cancelled but their memory is short and they will threaten you with punitive measures for being fatigued or legitimate concern over safety of flight.

Captains authority is something the company does not seem to understand. Particularly with regards to the bald napolean in the chief pilots office who made a practice of ratting out his fellow fo's for missing something on a walkaround when he was a newhire. Yep! Just the kind of A$$ hole this company loves and promotes.

Go there at your own risk. If you are a YES man that likes to plant kisses on management's rectum...you will excel. On the whole, its an embarrassing company run by incompetent jerks.

Your experience may vary...but do everyone a favor and help put the company out of business by not showing up. They need you more than you need them and that simple concept, if harnessed, could land all of you in newhire training at American.

ENJOY

A few years back, there was an "instructor" who was rumored to have 50+ hrs in the sim and still couldn't pass a checkride...so said pilot was in the training dept along with many other inexperienced F/O's. Still around? Still using F/O's to train new hires (ie "the blind leading the blind")?

If you mean to refer to the pre-natal position a fetus takes in the womb then yes.

Perhaps this:

"an inefficacious contraian effort to disallow the free market to work and impose continued wage sanctions on a group of professionals who are clearly in great demand"

better?
