14 new hires since last july.... while more than 12, with the current attrition not exactly as planned, i'd be surprised to see a class of 12. DEFINITELY not saying no to it, it would be great, but just surprising especially with the cancellation of the last upgrade class.

Contract says it shall be published "no later than June 1..." Does it usually take that long?

 

Ah I see.... I was looking at my reports from another source..... We've had nearly a dozen return from military or long term leaves, some failures and a few go to Spirit or other gigs since last July..... So that's what I'm referencing in my more then 12 number.....

Also I'm speaking from the last two years a new hire class started in conjunction with the leveling bid.... They normally include them in that but nothing contractually says Wednesday they don't have a bid for the four.... Unlikely but it could happen.... Also there's at least one military FO return who's been out nearly 5 years in this last group.....

So it's always more training events occurring then we see on the list.... Also this shows why I agree with any clause helping guys get on with mainline..... Even 36 in a year time frames better then the past several years.....

The chief came in to ground school yesterday and confirmed a June class of 12. No upgrades planned until Aughust.

 

No upgrades til August?!!! Holy crap!

 

Didn't think we were that fat on captains? And that's an awful lot of new FOs with no upgrades to counter. 4 this month, 12 next month...

 

Great to hear they are starting classes, congrats to those in them.

As for me, still haven't heard a yes or no after submitting my application a month or so ago. Does PSA send any correspondence regarding the status of an application? It doesn't appear there is a way to update flight times or contact anyone on the site. Is that correct or am I missing something? I'd like to update since I've logged about 100TPIC since.

Any help would be appreciated and congrats again to the new hires!
