JS wars only hurt your fellow airline's commuters when it comes back around via a retaliation denial. I mostly hear JS war rhetoric being thrown out there by non-commuters, who wouldn't be affected anyway. That's as childish, self serving and low as how the recent "Yes" voters where when they threw the whole regional industry in the trash to please their own personal SJS. Don't stoop to that level. There's a better time and place to deal with these people. No one wins in a JS war.

Ummmm...actually Eagle/Skywest/Expressjet would win. Or PSA hurt more, however you want to look at it.

Compare the routes and frequencies of the first three to PSA's. Safe to say PSA needs their jumpseats much more than the other way around.

Just for starters, who flys between DFW and TYS? Hint: it's not PSA.

The argument is that Eagle/Xjt/Skywest flights dominate most routes so one of those pilots has a good chance of flying on their own metal. Thus not getting bumped by a PSA crew out of the jumpseat. A PSA pilot has a very high chance of being on an Eagle/xjt/Skywest flight and therefore has a high chance of being kicked out of the JS. This is why E/X/S pilots would be in a better position during a JS battle.

I understand why some folks would deny the jumpseat. However, I don't think a JS battle is good and I wouldn't every deny it myself. I'm just clarifying the argument. I would take a PSA yes voter in the jumpseat and tell them about the repercussions of his/her vote so he/she knows just how angry they have made everyone else in the industry and why I wouldn't recommend such a person for a job at my airline. Their actions still deserve a repercussion. I would never hire someone with so little self respect. I don't think I'll ever forget those who voted yes and I don't think I'll ever have much respect for them.

Thank you for a respectful post.

Obviously I understand the math involved in a jumpseat war in regards to PSA vs "everyone else."

My question was....How does Eagle/xjt/skywest win....how. What makes you win.

Still eagerly awaiting a post from "embraer"

I understand that you want to hear from embraer and I'm not trying to speak for someone else. This is just pure curiosity on my part but my question is, how do we send a message to the yes voters? What do you think is appropriate? Should we sit back and respect their vote and say nothing? Is denying a jumpseat too far the other way? I think there needs to something in the middle. I'm too upset to sit back and do nothing. I honestly would like to know who the YES voters are so I know who the people are that I don't want to work with. I would make sure our management doesn't hire them. I wouldn't want to work with someone so short sighted and selfish and uninformed. I want to work with people who have self worth. I would work alongside a PSA no voter any day. I hope they are given the credit they deserve. I hope they leave that horrible airline for something better. I urge them to go to Eagle or SkyWest or XJet. Make the senior guys downgrade to a capped 4 year FO scale...

You can use all the math and routes you want. The moment just ONE of eagle/xjt etc is denied, Nobody wins.

Then we wonder why mainline pilots laugh at us. People have the balls to talk about denying a pilot the JS but not to stand up to management who is the real problem aside by people who have no self worth. You want to make a statement stand up to management, if not shut up and color
