So because you think it leaves an chance for an merger is the reason? If you said it sucks that would be understandable of ones concerns. Not quite sure how you think a merger could be a reason to vote one way or another. Clearly by this presentation USairways doesnt want lifers. Do you really think they would merge the two and then KEEP HIGHER cost Captains that would come to PSA?
Read the last sentence...There are way way too many "what ifs" in this thing.

It's like the PSA MEC and NC worked so hard to get around the traditional b scale idea (because of the STW inspired ALPA letter they signed onto) that they ended up with a deal much much worse than what Eagle was offered, negatively effecting the entire pilot group. I mean 35% for healthcare, no flow through, and pay freezes for 9 years!?
PSA guys should be talking about recalling the MEC, not wether or not they will vote for this. It should be a unanimous NO vote and the PSA MEC members should be punished for letting this piece of $#*+ see the light of day.

The biggest illusion we suffer from is that we are separate pilot groups.

* Pilots who are not offered a job at US Airways after their first interview will continue to receive April 1 annual increases, but their longevity increases will be capped at the greater of their current longevity step or at 12 years (for Captains) and 4 years (for First Officers).

Why the MEC would want to send this POS to the pilots is beyond me. Given the interview success rate of wholly owned pilots over the past year (approx 30%), who in their right mind would put their career in the hands of Airways HR dept? You guys are willing to freeze the pay of maybe half of your pilots? Forever? And there is no way to opt out? Are you kidding me??? The union's #1 job is to protect the pilots on the property. What is going on here?
Yet another incorrect fact. There was an issue. He's been fixed. Prior to the problem being addressed it was 27/52.... After the issue was corrected it's 7/8 got jobs. Keep facts going I'm ok with things. Tell lies or false information you must be corrected.
