Why is everyone missing the biggest issue here? After your first interview fail, youre frozen at your current payrate for you psa career. That means if airways interviews 20 of us per month and turn down all but 4, in two years time the entire list will be frozen!! Including year 1!!! No one will even get to 12th year pay. You must take an interview or be frozen anyways.
Close to none of this post is true.

Read the last sentence...There are way way too many "what ifs" in this thing.
What if AA needs 50 seater AC gone? What if the merger doesn't go through? What if we bomb Syria? This deal, although BS, at least assure a 44 fleet airline. Perhaps some view that better then a 14 fleet airline. To each their own.

Plus you all scream AE had a better deal.... That's BS. No way you agree to 60 planes to eliminate 200 and accept a by definition B scale and tell me that's better.

Further more until Obama Care is implemented none of us know what cost we'll get passed on. That's a huge elephant none of us know.....

Continue on Eagle and PDT guys in a thread that you ultimately are ****ing people off in and probably getting more yes votes because you're building resentment towards your airlines by your behaviour here. Congrats on getting PSA and management more yes votes based on your hijacking of a thread not concerning you.

If it passes and that is a huge if it sounds like the first wave of 30 will go to CLT. If it passes you will probably see additional airplanes placed at PSA due to the low cost structure and the fact that the 200s will be going away soon. Don't shoot the messenger

I'm not saying you should fall on a sword for the betterment of anything, but if you think this has only to do with PSA you have completely lost touch of reality and need to reevaluate. And if in fact you vote yes because of spite due to Eage and PDT by "highjacking" this thread that apparently you own, again please get back in touch with reality.

This has EVERYTHING to do with (a) trying not to degrade the industry and contracts (whether current or future); (b) preventing any management from simply bouncing from one carrier to another trying to get what they want.

So if you're so inclined to vote yes, do so but with clear acknowledgement of your actions and potential future repercussions. Let me be clear, I am not trying to tell you or anyone at PSA how you should vote but you and everyone involved needs to make a clear rational decision and not out of spite and thinking you (PSA pilots) are the only one's affected.

I wish you and your group the best of luck...the industry is watching.

From the business/money making side I can completely understand why they would want us to vote this in. A handful of senior CA's at top pay for a few more years and then gone. Upgrade some mid-level FO's and cap them at 12 year pay with some small 1% raises. Saves them a lot of money. Makes them money.

Now that being said, I think it is a load of crap. I for one do not plan on being at PSA the rest of my career. But I sure as heck am not in any hurry to go to mainline either. In my opinion I feel like we are being punished or bullied by not going to mainline. And that really chaps my butt. I realize by being a mid-seniority FO that I won't get much more in future pay raises anyways, but who are you to tell me that I have to interview? As far as the insurance increase that chaps me as well. And the fact we can be held is a total load of bull. This company cannot even get new hire classes filled. How are they going to solve that problem? If this TA passes who is going to come work for us?

Anyways I'm sure some will pick this apart. And I look forward to seeing that. In the mean time I am 99% certain I will be voting no. I would like to at least say I appreciate the effort that everyone has put into this. Good or bad.

It doesn't matter if it's better or worse than the AE TA. It's still concessions for a company that is making money. Look at the facts on the AE TA: a yes vote- B scale pay that does not even affect any pilot currently on property, 60 airframes (we know it won't replace the 200 or so 145s but it's better than none as we would get with a NO vote), and increased flow through to AA. This would have, in the short term at least, benefited all AE pilots. a no vote- No guaranteed new airframes now, everything else stays the same for now. You say no way we agree to that even though it would benefit all of us on property?
A NO vote was the right thing still for the sake of this industry and was purely unselfish of the MEC to do it. AE may fizzle but al least well got out with some dignity. PSA needs to step up and remember to not think just of yourselves but the little bit of integrity still left in this job.

This place has turned into a disaster since Mark Z passed away. No upgrades, running razor thin on staffing, I have to constantly send emails to our payroll because they can't get my pay right etc...

Anyone thinking of applying at psa, you sure as hell can't say you haven't been warned. Stay away! Take your experience and atp mins somewhere they value you enough to pay barely livable wages. Here, I guess they don't even think we need to make enough to eat.
