Good post speaking to mangement seeking concessions,
I asked a ramper today as we were pushing back near a Republic E175 if the company approached him to take a pay cut in order to work the new aircraft. The look on his face was priceless, and his choice of words to answer was "colorful" to say the least. This very idea that management possesses that an employee to make sacrifices in order to receive the tools of their trade is absolutely, unequivocally insane. The only thing more ridiculous than the Company suggesting that they will make business decisions of a multibillion dollars company effecting thousands of employees base on the compensation package of a several hundred pilots is the gullibility of the pilots who believe them.

Except that your MEC floated the idea to the company in the first place.

This TA is the new low for the industry. I hope you guys take a stance for what is right. Everyone needs to unite. This TA is a complete joke and basically says that you are worthless, skill-less and unappreciated. You are worth more than that..... At least I hope so.

Interesting that the concessions they wanted from Eagle didn't effect any pilot on the property. It created a lower pay scale for anybody not even on property yet. Would have provided Eagle at least 60 airplanes and the associated 300 plus upgrades. They told US/AMR to pound sand.
The pilot shortage is here; they need you guys more than you need them.
Do the right thing for the profession and say no... When the next one says No too; they'll get the hint. Poverty food stamp wages are unacceptable.
What good are more planes when there is nobody to fly them.
Stop playing by their rules. The rules are changing; and they're trying for one last grab while everybody is scared.
Sounds like they're offering you a B scale for anybody under 12 year seniority. Heck, Eagles didn't effect anybody in property and they had guaranteed flow and more aircraft.
Your TA is even worse than what they offered Eagle. Talk about lowering the bar.
Grow a pair. Short term pain for long term gain.

other than the 12 year cap and 4 year cap pay is the same, and we fly them at the negotiated rates in our current contract.
However, can PSA hold back people from moving to mainline?
You're going to be having senior CA's frozen on 17 year pay; but junior CA's after them are capped at 12 year pay... and all FO's now being capped at 4 years...
You really don't understand a B scale at all do you?

I'm glad everybody is still fighting about crappy regional pay and not about disappearing mainline narrowbody aircraft. If the economy takes a modest nosedive in the next 3-5 years, what do you all think is going to happen?
