Interesting that the concessions they wanted from Eagle didn't effect any pilot on the property. It created a lower pay scale for anybody not even on property yet. Would have provided Eagle at least 60 airplanes and the associated 300 plus upgrades. They told US/AMR to pound sand.
The pilot shortage is here; they need you guys more than you need them.
Do the right thing for the profession and say no... When the next one says No too; they'll get the hint. Poverty food stamp wages are unacceptable.
What good are more planes when there is nobody to fly them.
Stop playing by their rules. The rules are changing; and they're trying for one last grab while everybody is scared.

Sounds like they're offering you a B scale for anybody under 12 year seniority. Heck, Eagles didn't effect anybody in property and they had guaranteed flow and more aircraft.
Your TA is even worse than what they offered Eagle. Talk about lowering the bar.

Grow a pair. Short term pain for long term gain.

Im curious about discrimination laws. fine line, I know. but internally if they for example only wanted to hire under 40, less then 5 year captains, or whatever criteria, what would stop them from interviewing 200 people as a formality until they found their type? anybody get what im saying?

Talk about entitlement.... regional pilots thinking the DESERVE guaranteed mainline jobs. What about the REAL group of pilots who
DESERVE to go directly to mainline.... military pilots?

I'm sorry but if you have put your time in at a regional with the mainline logo on the tail, you should at least get the option to fly for that carrier when they are hiring.

You do have the option to apply and mainline has the option to hire you. You are not entitled and do not deserve to automatically fly for mainline just because you fly at an affiliated regional.

The regional pilot group, as a whole, is too risky, with too many "bad eggs" to even consider mainline hiring every one without some type of formal interview and screening.

You get what you can negotiate, I didn't sense entitlement.

Why does being in the military ENTITLE you to a job at mainline?

Its not exactly 121 time now is it?

So you are saying that the guys that have flowed or will flow at Eagle, Express, Compass, Mesaba are all flawed or do not have the required skill set to fly at a major? Or are you just upset that you might be swinging gear for a regional puke? Obviously you have some deep rooted issues.

Why do military pilots DESERVE to go to mainline? You think they are ENTITLED to it?

Sorry - military pilots are no more entitled to a mainline job than a regional pilot.

+1. My words exactly- but with fewer grammatical and spelling errors.
