Would it be if you never make it to year 13? I don't know. I do know a b scale is what a new hire makes is less and its a totally different scale. Is topping payrates if you don't ever reach them the same? Good questions but by current definition not a b scale.

I don't work at PSA but from reading your posts, it sure seems as though you have made up your mind.

Nope..... I just hate words like scab and b scale etc being used incorrectly. There's a time and a place to use them but only when used properly are they correct.

When two pilots are on a different pay scale it is and correctly can be called a B scale.

Clearly the senior pilots have more to gain here than those that were hired after 1999.

It's a B scale, plain an simple. The offer is trash, and shouldn't be considered.

Why would your NC make a deal like this? If you had stood your ground (like each ALPA regional pledged to do with the "no B-scale letter"), then Parker would have had to pay someone what they are worth to fly them. Instead, you have him a get out of jail free card, and screwed the rest of us when it comes to negotiating rates in the future.

Makes it more difficult to argue that our pay scales should go out past 4 years when another carrier has scales capped at 4 years. Add that to GoJets, RP and PNCL (bankruptcy).

PSA has pulled this before; screwing other pilot groups for new airplanes, so this really shouldn't be surprising.

Nice job guys.

Phew, I was worried that this would be a hard decision on which way to vote. It's so bad it's easy. I'm a NO vote.

Also the NC has stated in opening talks AA said they could walk away and they'd respect it but 2019 is a hard date. They also told them that AE requested the b scale etc then they gave them what their NC wanted and they ended up saying no. They also told the NC they'll go to Mesa to talk next if PSA declines and there's not a chance to reopen talks later....

Scare tactics? I don't know. I had an opportunity to see this presentation. Its something you must see presented to understand. It in reality is not a paycut unless you surpass 12 years to plan on being at PSA a career. Unlike Pinnacle/Endeavour who had most CAs at 12 years we at PSA do not. Unlike others our rates are blended and we will still make more to fly a larger plane in which our CBA already established.

Oh and the contract has a confirmed 30. It's null and voided if no merger based on the undesirable payrates at USairways as they want to get out top 150 CAs over to Airways and without a MOU at AA thats a matter of math to realize it'd be nearly impossible to break even or take too long at Airways rates....

Again I'm undecided. The presentation is pretty damning..... Also the 48 hires essentially is a 10% year over year guarantee movement. Language is in there to assure that year over year occurs.

Before anyone says I want a number you must remember USAPA and APA contracts unless amended dont allow such. AE had an agreement and thus their 200 guys. Unless in a class one can't accrue seseniority/longevity and I doubt either group would budge on that.
You're not saying anything I didn't already know you'd say. I said all along that huge concessions are coming down the pipe. You argued that I was speculating and didn't know anything. Well here it is pal, and as I predicted, you're on here defending the sh€t out of it. Don't even insult my intelligence by suggesting you haven't made up your mind yet. You're a solid yes vote and you know it. Oh, is my 1999 hire example silly? Well according to your logic non of us will be here in 2019 (the hard date) so what are you worried about? I honestly hope you and others like you never make it to a major. If you're willing to vote for paycuts at an already sh€tty regional, you will definitely be the first one to give it up at a major.

If this passes with anything more than 50%+1 then airways will realize they left money on the table and will come back for more. How long was psa in negotiations for a better contract that you just got? How much did the union spend on those negotiations? How quickly are you going to roll over and give it all right back? And yes...it is a b-scale.

Ha! Most of our contract's sections aren't even implemented yet!
