Interesting that the concessions they wanted from Eagle didn't effect any pilot on the property. It created a lower pay scale for anybody not even on property yet. Would have provided Eagle at least 60 airplanes and the associated 300 plus upgrades. They told US/AMR to pound sand.
The pilot shortage is here; they need you guys more than you need them.
Do the right thing for the profession and say no... When the next one says No too; they'll get the hint. Poverty food stamp wages are unacceptable.
What good are more planes when there is nobody to fly them.
Stop playing by their rules. The rules are changing; and they're trying for one last grab while everybody is scared.
Sounds like they're offering you a B scale for anybody under 12 year seniority. Heck, Eagles didn't effect anybody in property and they had guaranteed flow and more aircraft.
Your TA is even worse than what they offered Eagle. Talk about lowering the bar.
Grow a pair. Short term pain for long term gain.

other than the 12 year cap and 4 year cap pay is the same, and we fly them at the negotiated rates in our current contract.
However, can PSA hold back people from moving to mainline?

Say you are 150 in line to upgrade and the first airplane shows up.
How long do you think it will take you to upgrade?
10 a month is 15 months. If you were a third year f/o then you woul be feeling the effects of this agreement.
There will be movement but nowhere as fast as you think. Plus hiring 25 pilots a month is a bit optimistic dont you think?
Then after the airline is fully staffed. As a new hire, how long to upgrade? 6,7,8 years?
That's a lot of years to be at year 4 pay.

Reading through the ta again here are some very disturbing points that jump out at me. If a pilot fails to submit the required paper work to apply at usairways by 12/1/13 or ten months after hire date, he will be considered not interested
and will not receive longevity pay raises.
If a pilot has his FIRST interview under this loa, and is not successful, he will stop receiving longevity pay increases.
We're talking possibly 3 year caps here folks!!!! Wake the f*ck up!

Just the part about the B scale for under 12 year seniority...nothing changes other then the 4 year cap on FO's, which if we get 30-40 airplanes....we wont have any past that unless you bypass numerous times...so don't understand how its a B scale if pay doesn't change.

I am an AE pilot and can tell you with 100% certainty that I would not throw my fellow pilots under the bus for new metal. I can only hope that the majority of us feel this way. Let's make a stand.

Been following your posts for a while now. You have clearly made up your mind before even seeing the TA. Quit trying to justify concessions. The fact that people are even comparing it to a B scale should speak volumes.

I am not trying to justify concessions...I am trying to justify a yes or a no vote by informing myself as much as I can.

I disagree. I did not make up my mind, I wanted to not make any decision before seeing it. I still have unanswered questions. I would not and will not throw anyone under the bus...that's not what we need right now.
