It's not absurdly false at all. It's not.

Why don't you go ahead and post a point by point comparison of why our contract is so bad? You can't because you have no idea what is in our contract and babble on like a lemming because everyone is "so mad" about the pay caps.

The ONLY things we changed in our new TA was the caps, and insurance.

I just posted about this and I'll do it one more time because when someone posts reasonable facts and un-emotional comments everyone ignores them because they can't argue with them. Just like the post I made about a page ago.

Our pay is middle of the road with the caps. Yes, I cannot argue with that. However, its not even close to the bottom and if you add in our industry leading 401k compensation, it is pushed a lot closer to the top than people here want to acknowledge or even have any idea about. Being in the middle of the road is not a bad place to be. I'd rather be at the top of course but our overall compensation is HARDLY a detriment to this section of the industry. Also, being at the very top compensation wise, of the regionals has a pretty extensive history of being bad for that particular airline.

Insurance: Yes it went up.......It went up 8 dollars a month for a single and 40 dollars a month for family. That is at the absolute max and that will not occur for another 3 years. MY INSURANCE WENT DOWN FOR 2014. Again, hardly creating downward pressure on the industry. 8 bucks........

The thing that no one mentions is the 10 years. That is unfortunate and IMO the worst part. It is the reason I voted the way I did.

So here it is again......I WANT YOU TO POST A POINT BY POINT COMPARISON OF WHY PSA'S CONTRACT IS WORSE THAN OTHERS.

FWIW I used our terrible contract to get 18 days off with xmas/new years off for december. If I add ANYTHING it will all be 1.5x pay.

Have at it.

The point by point comparison was already done on this forum when you guys had the opportunity to vote that crap down. Really there is no reason for me to rehash this again.

I'm glad you think taking concessions without the threat of bankruptcy is a good idea, I'm sure management loves you also.

Edit: How is your 401k industry leading? It starts at a 2.5% and last I checked that's not industry leading.

So you aren't going to answer my question and will continue to baselessly bash our contract that you have no clue about.

I am curious to know (this has probably been beat to death before, forgive me, I'll gladly accept a link if somebody has it) if PSA's new contract has:

Min Day pay?
Trip rig?
Duty rig?
100% deadhead pay?
401k match? Any mandatory company contribution (ala B-fund)?
Min days off for lineholders? Reserves?

No I just don't need to go find the other thread just so I can link it here, anyone who really cares can find it themselves.

I know there are regionals with a better contrtact, but I would have to commute to them. So, commute to a different regional or drive to a PSA base? Any recommendations on where to go?

Thanks!
Here is something to think about, industry average reserve is a two hour call out. Living 2:45 hours away means you will still be moving, or also renting a crash pad as if commuting.

"Wholly owned means everything" :sarcasm:

Wha? 50% DH pay? I see how their inefficiencies are my problem.

The comparison doesn't exist because no one did it(maybe because one of their days off got moved and they didn't have time)

I just posted the negative aspects......

You are acting like a 5 year old.

Thanks for that.

As an example, Air Wisconsin has a 3 hour min day credit, 4:1 trip rig, 2:1 duty rig, 100% deadhead pay, 12 min days off for lineholders and reserves, and IIRC six years ago when I left they contributed 3, maybe 4% into your 401k along with a 6, maybe 7% match.

On a concessionary contract that went into effect 1 Oct 2003.

I know PSA is not Air Wisconsin, but these are a few examples of how PSA's new contract isn't leading the Airways Express system, let alone the entire regional industry.

Glad to know air willie has a bright future and a place I could be comfortable working at for 10 years I this volatile industry. Also, never said PSA was the best, but all things considered I agree with Pagey. Days off the can't be moved, a nice schedule, great people and a very positive future with growth. For those who think it's not growth, you'll just have to sit on your hands and wait for the official releases.
