I am cautiously optimistic that this thing is, in fact, going to get voted down.

The small sample size that I have spoken with are generally no votes and our forum seems to be overwhelmingly no. I think the problem is going to come down to mostly guys that didn't take the time to educate themselves on what this thing really says and are enticed with the supposed "growth" that is being offered.

Unfortunately the yes voters I have come across are generally voting yes due to the fact that they are afraid Airways will shut us down if this thing is voted down, not because they actually believe it is a good TA.

A really good idea was brought up over on our forum for a "reverse roadshow" where no voters could make their case to undecided, or yes voters. That type of thing is probably a pipe dream but it would be nice if it could be organized.(and attended)

Out of the 12 people I have talked to about it I had 6 Yes and 6 No. Yes I know it's a small sample but after Comair a lot of people are hesitant to call US Airways bluff.

There essentially will be enough mainline jobs for ANY regional pilot that wants one. There will not be enough pilots to fill all the regional seats.
Not enough folks are entering the profession. Lenders are no longer writing big loans for aviation.
This is a last ditch effort by managements to lock in long term concessionary contracts. Mechanics do not take concessions so management can buy the correct tools for them to work on our planes. Likewise, taking concessions in exchange for more profitable aircraft isn't our responsibility either. It never was, never will be. It's a false threat that people buy into. If everybody says no, at all pilot groups... Do you think they won't upgrade their fleets?
This is just about maximizing profits at pilots expense. Don't fall for it.
Call your individual reps and demand they hold the line.
For crying out loud, your FO's are on food stamps and mainline Flight Attendants make more than your pilots. Get a grip, grow a pair, and say enough is enough. Stop The Whipsaw

Hahah, enough with this stop the whipsaw crap. Only way to stop what's happening at the regional level is take a stand. Not online bullying, stickers, a website, and the disgruntled regional lifers. Vote no, and stop giving into concessions. That's how you stop the whipsaw.

I agree with everything 100% except the amount of mainline jobs. I truly believe the "pilot shortage" is greatly exaggerated and we'll only see about 30% of current regional pilots find mainline employment. That being said the fact remains they can't fill those vacated seats and we need to quit taking concessions, we're in the driver's seat and we need to start acting like it.

I think you are just trolling. What makes you think there's no military people at the regionals? I've flown with every type you can think of from Air Force 2 driver to F-15.
