If you bid right and start and end with days on you could get an extra day off......

Well maybe getting used alot on long call is a good thing. When you hit 71 hours of credit, you can be released for the rest of the month. Ill take that, if im understanding it correctly

The first and last out provision still exists. If you're the senior guy on long call and you specify last out, they have to use everyone else first before you.

At first everyone thinks long call is a free month to sit at home and harly work. But trust me that won't be the case.

If you pass up a line for long call, in my opinion that is not very smart, but if you're senior to me please go ahead.

Don't get me wrong if you are already a reserve guy it's not a bad gig especially for reserve commuters but definitely not good enough to by pass a line.
I said I was thinking about it. PSA usually does not use a reserve when they are close to guarentee. Given certain months when there is plenty of coverage and it could work out for someone. Or does this still sound "not very smart" to you?

You can scream all you want about us not getting it all. But look, we really didn't get much. $.11 raise? Sure the day pay is nice, I looked back and saw that there were only 2 days this year where i would have benefited from it. In the past 5 years i have paid almost $10,000 in union dues. How long will that take to make back?
For 4 years of negotiating i was hoping for more. If this gets voted in we will have a 5 year contract and 4 more years to negotiate a new one. 9-10 years we will have to live with this. I'm sure Keith H. wants this one to go through, he is getting a deal.
Do you tell everyone you work for USAIR? How's those bag tags look on your bag?

Just giving my opinion from being in this position previously. If you think it's best for you then by all means bid for it.

He's right. They will do anything and everything, up to, and including blatantly lying to your face about first/last out.
