How big of a PITA is it going to be to commute from Orlando while on reserve? Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
And you couldn't go back 2-20 pages and find this info?

Word of advice! If you can not go back and research this information yourself and have to be spoon fed, DO NOT interview; you will not succeed in ground school! Do yourself a favor and put a little effort into this! After all this is your career! No one is going to coddle you or spoon you the information you want in any regional ground school! PSA or wherever you decide to go.

Poor guy. Dozen other guys asked the same sets of questions yet this guy took all the heat haha dont take it personally but it is true, if you want to work here or anywhere else, do some research first yourself. Then ask others for more.

Commuting out of Mco is tough during summer travel. But there are plenty of flights. Not to mention Tpa, gnv, dab, Jax if you really had to. Our commuter policy will protect you from getting in trouble.

First year pay I think was around 30k for me. Pay during training isn't bad. I picked up maybe 4-5 days of overtime. And I think two times I was stuck on my last day so they gave me 6 hrs of credit and a extra day off which is sweet. Don't plan on flying on your off days because 10 days is low enough. Only way it's worth it is if scheduling calls you to work, then you get a day off back and overtime pay.

What bases are people getting out of training these days? What are the chances someone gets CLT?

Anyone hear about how the FAA is denying ATP's to upgrades due to lack of required PIC time? Part 61 plainly and clearly states that SIC time accrued in a 2 pilot airplane under part 121 can substitute for the PIC requirement. We have people that were hired here with an instructing background that are short of the cross country PIC requirement. However, the FAA is not accepting their SIC time even though the regulations say they can. It seems to only be this one FSDO. Are any other pilots here in other districts and different airlines experiencing this issue? Our company is trying to fight them on this. I think the company will prevail, but who knows how long it will take.
