Is that towards me? I want people to upgrade so I move up. Plain and simple. BTW I have over 1000 PIC XC.

No, sorry, I just pulled your quote...not towards you...it's to the industry nation wide. The first time a pilot teaches should not be in a commercial airline jet. Despite this hiring spree, there is still something said about having prior teaching experience...100hrs. of xc is almost comical to not have, and still be employed at such a level...I just laugh when I hear the, "we hire captain's, not fo's."...well I guess not..

Anyone know whats going to happen with that 700 from the DAB landing? I understand there's millions in damage, and if the wing spar is cracked, that airplane is totalled. Any guesses as to whether US Airways will replace that airplane? Something to think about considering thats 6 less captains and fo's needed in the system, as well as a paycut to our blended rate.

Has anybody heard when the new hire class will start. I heard Nov. 15, is there one starting at the beginning of the year too? Has there been anymore captain upgrades or scheduled?
