Default TYS question

If you live in TYS, can you expect to be away from home as much as a commuter would out of TYS unless you are on reserve in TYS? Would that sound about right?

Default Insurance and base question

1. How much is the insurance at PSA for a family?
2. How long would you be on reserve in TYS?
3. If you hold a line would you be away from base just like someone who commutes in? ( I am trying to see would I be home more living at base or would it be the same if I were to commute to a different airline).
4. Would it be safe to say upgrade time for TYS would be about four years?

Thanks for all the guys who have been answering. I am really having a hard time trying to figure out what to do. Start training in Dec. or go to Compass. I like all the pilots I ran into for PSA, just wondering what the best options are.
Thanks again for taking the time to read and respond to this gouge.

We have dec class already??? Interesting.

Upgrade probably less than 3 once everyone starts leaving for majors.

Reserve shouldn't be too long to get off either.

Commuting I'll let a tys guy answer. Just know they have early shows and late finishes.

You have 2 insurance options. The high option plan A is the only way to go for a family in my opinion. It's somewhere around $300+a month. Great coverage for folks who plan to use it a lot.

No one can ever say how long someone will be on reserve. If things move like they say they will you're looking at less than a year.

You are home WAY more living in base. CLT has commuter friendly lines. TYS does not.

TYS upgrade took 4 yrs for the current crowd upgrading. Upgrades during the past decade at PSA have been as low as one year.

I've been informed of a Oct 31st class. After that it is up in the air but a class can change or be added at any moment.... Upgrades seem more likely based on reserves in the system for October.....

Lol way to be positive!! Gas close to under 80, bookings are strong for the remainder of the year. Flights are still full. Majors are cutting 2-3% as a precautionary measures but I believe it's time to buy some airline stocks!!!
