I fly, or get hot reserve almost every reserve day.(CLT)

Sad to hear. I know FO's over here that are flying 80-90 hours a month, and have 3-4 month reserves, and no airport reserves. Pretty sweet.

Negative, ATP and type completed.

I do my best to not fly, including listing myself "last out" for all reserve periods. I honestly think that is why. My current theory being that they(scheduling) get their panties in a bunch for whatever reason when people ask for last out. I have been blatantly lied to on many occasions as to if I am actually last out. Usually though, they just put me on hot reserve since hot reserve "doesn't count for last out". Once you get an actual assignment you are "out" and once again last out does not apply.

Hooray vague contract language.

Don't ask for anything. Or better yet ask for what you don't want! Actually nowadays we're pretty fat on FOs so they won't mess with you too much. Wait til we're short again. Oh boy...
