It's not industry leading but it's nowhere near pinnacle rates which is what AAG wants. But you're right, we might already be operating on B scale.

I think they'll use this to bait PDT first since the pinnacle rate will still be a pay increase for them granted they'll be flying bigger planes. And the fact they're starting to time out on the dashes might be the biggest motivation.

Let him go, the BK stress coupled with all the drama going around has gotten to him. He is a good Kid, means well but just needs to relax a little bit and understand that he has little to no control over what happens. The "apprentice scale" was originally offered by our own union. People need to stop putting their chest so high, at Eagle all we did was say NO more talk of a B scale but our negotiating committee continues to engage with management. Even if Eagle wold have allowed the B scale to reach a pilot vote, management would have met with the other wholly owned regionals today. The difference is instead of saying Eagle is voting on a B scale and will save this much money, they are saying Eagle is offering this much money in exchange for X aircraft.

Pilot cost is a very small blip on the radar. We stand out and are easy targets do to passion for flying and career movement. Creating a B scale for FO whom already start at 20k a year and often max out at less than 40k (yea, yea I know you can break guarantee and work the system to make more). Most FO can't afford to take advantage of their 401k match, and often don't even buy health insurance. These FO would be looking for the airline that gives them the fastest way away from the regionals. This B Scale wouldn't save them enough as to overshadow all other cost related with operating an airline. We pilots are important but the world doesn't evolve around us. We happen to be the easiest targets.

Wasn't implying you guys operate on a b-scale. I was implying I don't think AAG cares that much about their so called b-scale. They were just trying to win the lottery with a prior weak pilot group. They ended up probably getting their feelings hurt and want to shove it to us. I would rather see the planes go to PSA or PDT instead of Mesa RAH or G7.

You are almost correct, except the AE NC is who brought up the "apprentice scale", US Airways management though they had found gold because our guys were so stupid to believe that a B Scale for new hires would trend us towards Pinnacle.

For all Eagle pilots already on property:
· No changes to current contract for existing pilots
· If this deal were ratified by the pilots, Eagle pilots who later decline to flow to AA would have their pay rate frozen
· Pilots who have already declined to transfer to AA, will not have their payrate frozen and will remain under the current contract.
· Proposal contains a minimum fleet size guarantee for 8 years and that would be guaranteed by the mainline, which would include larger new aircraft
· Proposal contains increasing the minimum number of pilots per year that Eagle must allow to flow to AA by 25%

The cost savings USAirways is looking for to accomplish the above bullets would come from future new hire pilots. Future new hire pilots would:
· Work under reduced payrate and benefits compared to new hires under the current agreement
· All future new hires would be “hired” by AA and would be able to participate in the same flow as rest of Eagle pilots in seniority order

Do you really think that this scale would have been for new hires? Or do you think this would have been the benefits we all would have been working under. We put the camel's nose under the tent. We Eagle pilots are not the heroes, all we did was step away from the ledge that we put ourselves in.

Don't read too much into it. He's probably making rounds and meeting top brass at all the regionals. That's who he's in charge now after all.

It was a scheduled meeting. Before eagle shot down B scale. From our president's mouth right into APC.

New VP if Flight Operations announced... It's Michael Scrobola, who was the VP of flight at PDT.

Thoughts? And let the rumors ensue since he came from PDT.... Guess he thinks he has a future here!

I don't think it was a voluntary move. I see a merger coming and we get aircraft to replace dashes as they expire.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't PDT pretty senior to PSA people? How would that integration go? Probably a mess like all of them... With new type ratings for new aircraft too.

Sorry to interrupt the merger talk, just a few questions about PSA:

How long to hold a line in TYS?
Is it easy to move days off around, if you're willing to pick up other days?
Where are most overnights out of TYS?
During training, do you have weekends off?

Thanks for any answers, I'll probably have a few more questions. Hopefully you all don't mind my asking!
