Nah not a defeatist attitude just a way to bring some color to the opposite side of the argument. I'm all for change. I just think a lot of people on here are talkers not shakers.

Isn't management supposed to provide financials and a host of other documentation before your union may even entertain concessions?
What is the process for line pilots to file complaints that your own rules and by-laws are being ignored? Can you simply file complaints with the DOL that oversees unions that your own by-laws are being knowingly violated?

Fight a little for crying out loud.

I was asking the same thing after our ALPA negotiators were able to negotiate a contract in less than six months at PNCL/CJC/Mesaba. The end result was that the company was crying poor, and saying that they couldn't afford the contract eight months later, and filing for Ch. 11 a couple of months later. Does make one wonder what exactly they are doing during the vetting process that they cannot add/subtract and see that revenues generated by agreements with their codeshares were insufficient to fund our contract, pay for realignment/training costs and day-to-day operations.
ALPA needs to hire professional negotiators that FULLY understand what they are doing and the consequences of their decisions. No matter how noble and well-meaning our ALPA volunteers might have been. We were led down a primrose path, and if not the outright destruction of careers/lives, certainly some serious setbacks for many...
Good luck to PSA and hopefully, your own negotiators have not left any stones unturned...

I hope you all realize the the company ( US Air ) is going to do what they want to do regardless how you vote. I am sure it's been posted before but we ( eagle ) were told that the only way we would get new planes and keep our flying was that we had to approve the T A that was presented to us. It was a very similar situation like you find yourselves in. The union and company were in step with what they wanted done. Long story short, we approved the TA and they gave our stuff away anyway. Be smart fuys

Hope you all will make a smart educated decision tomorrow. Remember we are worth more and have the upper hand. Don't give away anything you don't want back and fight till the end to keep this profession from spiraling into a ball of flames. Verbal promises are worth nothing and even those on paper are amendable and can be twisted to managements liking. Please stand strong and don't sell yourselves or any other pilot group out by accepting such a ridiculous proposal. I wish all of you PSA pilots the best of luck.

Apparently the new "bottom feeders" have just announced themselves. "Will Fly for Food" should now be a PSA pilots website. To think that if the merger occurs, AA will inherit some of these jellyfish is truly depressing.
