Here's an easy fix: if this passes and you didn't vote for it, quit. Then you don't have to worry about it. It's not like somebody is forcing you to work there -- it's not WalMart. Playing one group against another is SOP at Airways. As a wholey owned, they can say "Fine, as of 3/1/14 PSA will cease flight operations." and immediately start transferring airframes to Mesa. They'll do it for less.

Are people are still applying? They have no reason to give in.
How about, if it doesn't pass all the people who voted yes get to quit.
They are the ones that wanted the pay cut to begin with. Now they can start at a lower pay somewhere else flying larger airplanes.

Like those new 175s for United! There's an idea.

Listen folks, like I starts, this deal is the proverbial fecal sandwich. The group apprears to be divided (weak) and getting into internets street fights with anybody who posts on this thread. Voting "yes" and "no" both hae valid and real down sides.

I've worked for two wholey owned regionals (PSA was the last) and it really sucked. There is no security because there is no CPA. As the w/o, you are the shock absorber for flight hours as the others hot their limits. IF the number crunchers determine it costs too much to keep it operating or if another carrier can do it cheaper, then the parent company can shut you down. All they have to worry about is some severance packages and the aircraft leases. If they are sub-leased them to the replacements, that's one less thing management has to worry about.

Good luck, y'all.

They might have to think about who will pick up the flying. No other airline can absorb there flying. PSA has the upper hand. No need for concessions here. There is no upside to voting yes to this TA.

Agreed. Hopefully they will see the light unlike Pinnacle. I'm a 5 year FO back on reserve and slated to earn well under 30K next year thanks to the 4 year pay cap. There is no need for it. The job has become unprofitable. The people who voted yes will see it for what it is as they slide down the ranks. Enough is enough. The line has to be drawn somewhere.

I have just been offered a class with PSA next month. Anybody know if PSA will be opening more bases in the future and if they are, what can the potential bases be?

No one knows. And if they say they do, they're lying.

If the TA passes, and if all 30 planes come and if they are additional airframes, then a new base wouldn't be unlikely. But who knows where in the American system it would be.

Soooo apparently JC the psa mecc claims to have not known egl was offered a flow in their deal.
Eagle already has:

Flow thru pilots with AA-APA Seniority numbers

824 non numbered flow thru positions

Every pilot hired prior to Oct 11,2011 with preferential hiring

Every pilot on property with preferential interview

The offer they rejected was to increase flow by 5 extra pilots per month, and to allow flow to either the AA or US side.

Your TA from what I've read of it is an insult
