I Love PSA

You've discovered the dirty little secret to interview programs... They're meaningless. In this case, with the number of US retirements you won't need interview programs, and as you discovered... It actually might hurt.
So, if somebody applies and bypasses more senior PSA guys who were waiting for their interview... Will the more senior guy be able to sue saying they violated the interview program by bypassing seniority?
It only took the APA and ALPA 13 years to resolve their flow program...
Go ahead, don't learn from the mistakes of others.
Your company is crazy profitable; you should be getting raises, not concessions. If you can't get a raise when they're profitable... Then when will you ever?
Good grief, stop buying into management BS.

A guaranteed flow a la Eagle or Compass, that is a different matter. Maybe if everyone shoots down this TA, they will come back with a better deal.
Just my 2 worthless cents. I recently applied to PSA so I'm interested in the results of the vote.

I have about 175 people ahead of me. If airways takes 4 a month….that's….
3.64 years before my number is up to go. If you are about half way up the list….and 4 people a month go…..you can expect a class in 5.2 years. And if you are the last sucker on the list at PSA, it's going to take you…..10.41 years.
Not sure if they are still going to be hiring in 10 years. But at least you have a guaranteed interview right?

As an outsider I agree with this. I think this guaranteed interview program is worthless. I bet you will be real happy when your buds at other regionals interview and get hired at mainline while you are still waiting in seniority order for your shot.

Hey dip****:
Read your own Unions bullet points:
Pilots who are not offered a job at US Airways after their first interview will continue to receive April 1 annual increases, but their longevity increases will be capped at the greater of their current longevity step or at 12 years (for Captains) and 4 years (for First Officers).
Pilots who are not offered a position at US Airways after a Repeat Opportunity as described in LOA #3 following his second interview will cease to receive longevity pay rate increases and April 1 annual increases.
So what's the difference between a Longevity and April 1 increase? I bet the April 1 increase is 1% until 2023
REALLY???? 1% for the whole pilot group until 2023.....
Which based on basic inflation. You lose 2%, minimum annually, just to inflation. That's without taking into account the increase of, what is it 12% in insurance costs?
Wow raising the bar.
Hell I used to think it was ****ty to charge 100.00 to send in your application. This is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more than 100.00 for your interview....REally?!?!?

Yeah, EGL was offered an increase of current flow (not interviews) by an additional 5 people a month to either AA or US Air until the SLI, then to the new AA. We were offered the B-scale to new hires only (although we all know it would have ended up covering the whole pilot group in short time). PSA is being asked to take the new scale and longevity caps for the whole pilot group in exchange for a few lousy interviews that you could get yourself in just a few more years. Heck, I could offer you an interview with whomever you want, but it's no job guarantee... That TA proposal is really insulting to you all. You're better than that, and deserve better than that, IMHO. You're profitable and not in BK, so I don't understand what pretense they can reasonably ask for these kind of concessions. The threats that PSA managers are making to the pilot group are identical to the same things said to Eagle, and just about everyone else. Must be some kind of collusion whipsaw tactic 101 method, straight out of the management playbook. Call their bluff.
