no, im just saying if all of a sudden a bunch of disgruntled regional pilots started jumpseating on our flights and kept poking us to vote no, it would pass 95%. a lot of us are becoming very annoyed with the way outside airlines have handled this TA. If you are informed and speak an educated opinion, fine. but the bashing, bullying, jumpseat denying on eagle (already happening) are just too far and out of line. voting doesn't even close till the 27th.
Just saying relax and mind your own business. I WISH I had the time to jumpseat around and tell other companies how to run their show.

If you truly believe this, you're already a lost cause.

And this is an issue for all regional pilots. Just because we don't have a vote in this, doesn't mean it doesn't directly affect us. It's kind of like I can't vote in another state's election for senator, but you can be damn sure that senator's election affects me and every other American. Strength is gained in unity. Eagle already turned them down, are you going to be the one to further lower the bar?

Most PSA people want you all to mind your own ****ing business. notice its almost all outside airline people on this forum. PSA people, especially DAY and TYS crews, are close knit and stick to themselves. respect the democratic process, they will vote as they see fit. the bullying and scare tactics don't work. and trust me, if you show up on the jumpseat on a PSA flight and bring up the TA.....have fun.

Really, so you will vote yes before the other guy. In other words you will underbid the other guy. The regionals are not regionals any more. They fly coast to coast and international. Quit buying into this whole regional mentality. We fly the same airport and the same pax as mainline pilots with aircraft that are mighty similar to what is flown at AA, Delta and United. For crying out loud the E175 is the same type rating as equipment being flown at Air Canada, US Airways and many other major airlines around the world.

The primary objective right now should be reaching out to PSA in any way available to encourage them to vote NO.
Skywest was in negotiations, and the company halted negotiations at the last minute, specifically citing the fact that they want to see what happens with PSA first, and they they feel they are being to generous to Skywest pilots.
RAH has been in negotiations for years already and is also waiting to see what happens.
The mass retirements at mainlines are over a 12 year period, most will be in the next 8 years.
Is there any guess why managements are demanding long term contracts? Why managements are using every scare tactic in the book to get new long term contracts.
PSA has a valid contract. Their company is profitable already. Their company is not in bankruptcy.
If PSA accepts a new concessionary contract, outside of section six, that will carry them through the mainline retirements.... then the pressure will be on Mesa, Skywest and RAH next to at least match if not beat them to "remain competative."
It's total BS and everybody except PSA seems to know it.
You guys need to call your friends, email them, whatever... and get the word out that the PSA TA is a bad joke and should be treated accordingly.
It guarantees no aircraft until 2015, and even then, they only need accept delivery of 1 plane to meet the contractual requirements.
It doesn't guarantee growth, or upgrades, since there is nothign to say these aren't replacement aircraft... which they most likely really are.
Their health insurance contribution goes to 35%
They get no flow through, just interviews... and if not hired they become pay frozen forever.
12 year pay becomes the new top step CA longevity rate. 4 year pay is the cap for FO's... and you become frozen as soon as you interview at mainline and are not hired.
Why sell your soul for interview rights when the vast majority of Airways pilots will retire over the next 10 years, as will the majority of ALL mainline pilots. There is ZERO reason for anybody to give concessions for interview rights; since anybody wanting to go to a mainline, isn't going to have any trouble going.
Yes, ALPA National is run by a bunch or mainline pilots who are betting that by increasing mainline profits they will be able to extract more money from their companies for mainline pilots.
It is now painfully obvious, that they will help their companies become more profitable even if it means throwing regional pilots under the bus.
After Moak's letter I think it's an open and shut DFR case.... however, the immediate focus needs to be on PSA since their voting closes in 9 days.
