Currently there aren't guys from this era of regional piloting on legacy hiring boards. That PSA affiliation may mean something once there are. That is what he was saying.

I think part of the problem is the disconnect between mainline pilots and what is going on at the regional level. Granted they do not have to be a participant but keeping your ears open to the rumblings might be a good idea for them as well.

So far I haven't seen much of a change. Line value is down a hour or two but that might be due to it being a slower time of year.

News flash Airways doesn't fly a schedule like AA does. Airways reduces flights greatly in winter months. Prefect example is how Kirby just said AA needs to do the same. I.e. WKND schedules are greatly reduced. Some cities going from 7 flights to a hub to maybe 2.... AA currently doesn't do it like Airways so the above post is very accurate. Block hours are greatly reduced for this time of year..... Especially after the holiday season.

But we are in the tail end of the holiday season, the travel isn't done yet.

Which company is buying who again? Yes I know they are calling it a "merger."

I seem to recall that argument wasn't too well received when America West "merged" with the bankrupt US Airways...
