I hope ASA/XJT stand strong like Eagle did and vote down a concessionary contract and work to get improved pay and work rules. If they do that then maybe those few pilots looking for a regional job will have a desire to go work there cause they will be paid more and have a better QOL than so many of the other regionals. Are there people who don't agree with that?

Yes because you forgot to take into account if you don't fly an RJ with wing mounted engines you probably won't be taken seriously at an interview with a major. That's valuable log book time.

+1, paxhauler. There were worse comparable contracts, but, IMO, I wouldn't have counted PSA as one to 'help' the CPZ arbitration cause.

Any speculation on bases in the future? Think TYS and DAY will stick around or be pulled into larger hubs?

DFW.

That's my guess anyway.

Congrats to all the PSA folks. Hopefully this additional flying cuts the time off it'll take you to get to a major. No one should be *****!ng about the pay scales/longevity as no kne should be at a Regional longer than 3-5 years...going FORWARD. The last 10 years was an anamoly. From now on any FO stuck in 4th yr pay is there by choice or ineptitude. Anyone else that doesn't have a degree, record or skill set to pass an interview needs to exit the career field.

While your peers at the other Regionals may laugh and call you names, your career earrings will outpace thiers by a couple hundred grand. Is that worth a lousy contract now? YES!

Is this a statistic based on facts or are you just making an assumption that a guaranteed INTERVIEW is better than what everyone else gets when EVERY SINGLE major is hiring?

So by this logic we should be willing to fly for free if it comes w a quick upgrade?

Another person who doesn't understand that regional contracts affect mainline flying.
