However, I hope you are as eager to thank me for my civilian service as an airline pilot where I have not been nearly as compensated as you have been (not to mention, you did not fund my flight training, nor my salary.) This is the reason most of us see your background "stats" as irrelevant.
Is very dumb

Oh boy . . . here we go. I'm sorry, did you get drafted? - no; Did you pay for your flight ratings? - no; Did I pay for your flight ratings? - yes; Did I pay for your Masters Degree? - yes; Did I pay for every time you hit your afterburner unnecessarily? - yes; Am I going to pay for your pension? - yes;
The military of today is NOT the military of years ago. I do wholeheartedly appreciate everyone's military service, as I also appreciate teachers, police, and firefighters. How many have thanked you for your service? How many of the above mentioned have YOU taken the time to thank? You reek of a typical brain-washed, koolaid drunk fighter pilot who expects everyone around you to worship you and be forever in your debt. I do know first hand what it means to watch others around me die, as well as be at risk yourself. At the same time . . . those were all my choices, and no one owes me anything. Stop glorifying yourself, and realize that we all have a role to play, and you should think about being just a bit more appreciative to those who serve around you be it civilian or military.
You want to act annoyingly arrogant? Continue your service for as long as you can, and when you are forced out, get a cushy contract consultant job for the DOD. You want to continue a new career in the airlines? Get humble, get appreciative, and get over yourself, and you will receive a great deal of respect in return. Out.

Couple of things that smack of your lack of intelligence or education, not sure.
1. If you make as little as you do in the Regionals, I doubt your Tax contributions even pay for the toilet paper on death row.
2. I am sure, as you aptly pointed out, I have paid way more taxes than you in my 20 years of service. Thats right, we in the Military Pay taxes too, Idiot.
3. Your assumptions about my past are amazing. First of all. I am not a fighter pilot, I was a Marine Attack Pilot. I also served on the ground with a riffle and a pack in both OEF and OIF. I am curious what your life risking situation was, this should be funny.
4. I tried to end this silly little fight, by admitting my ignorance to the issues in this industry and tried to start a logical discussion about those issues. Yet you are still resorting to name calling and childish comments about things you know nothing about.
5. I would love to meet you, I am sure you are just as amazingly cowardly, ignorant, and hateful as you appear in these posts. However, I am sure you would never agree to that?
6. If you really have a Masters? It must be from Phoenix Online.
7. Pay for my education? NO, your right I didn't pay for my education by being deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa.
8. Choice? Yep, your right I chose to go fight in the War. What have you done for your Country. I also choose to spend time Coaching Inner City Youth Football, working in a Homeless Shelter, donating about 15% of my paycheck to Charity.
9. I have never asked anyone to thank me, and I actually prefer not to hear that. Especially from people who don't understand the sacrifice.
This whole post started because I responded to a comment about all PSA pilots being Scum Bags. To which I responded, that I might be starting with PSA soon and didn't feel it was a fair comment being made about a great group of people.
I am not sure how this turned into bash the military pilots. Nobody is bashing you civilian pilots.
Yes... I paid for my Flight Training. Yes.... I paid for my Masters. Yes.... I pay Taxes too.
Now, can we talk about something else please. I am sure that this forum was never intended to be a Military Pilot vs Civilian Pilot fight.
I will start the Cease Fire by saying this:
Thank you so much for Paying for your Flight School and your Masters and your Taxes and your civilian service as an Airline Pilot. Please oh Please.....Let me bask in you light.
