I agree that the contract may not be the greatest, however I doubt that anyone will be on the property in either position to make the cap. FO's at four years? in this upcoming environment....really? Capt longer than ten? Forget the "guaranteed" interview, all of the qualified persons are going to be picked up by a major and none of them care about the squabbling at the regional level. get in get the hours and experience necessary and move on.

I bet that's what everybody that voted for the Chautauqua 2003 contract thought, too.

Nothing, just a statement about how cowardly and self centered it is to presume that a pilot flying for PSA is a clown. Many of the guys that just hired on with them, weren't even around to vote on the issue in question. However, it seems to have helped more than a few Veterans get a job. After all the title of this Forum is, "I Love PSA." I was only reading it to find out about my new company. I think it's clear, I was mislead. I am just amazed at the amount anger that was expressed towards someone trying to put food on the table. I am just as appalled by the low pay scales in the regionals. However, I think you should check around in other professions. First, second, and even third year pay for Doctors, Dentist, Lawyers, and yes Even Investment bankers sucks. If you are competitive, hard working, and committed enough you will get pulled up to the Majors. However, with an attitude like the one originally quoted, you will undoubtedly never get past the physiological screening. I love to fly and hopefully you do to. Otherwise, go find another job.

I too am transitioning from one career to the regional rat race. First and foremost I would like to thank YOU and all the rest of the men and women that served this great country. I look at some of the petty responses and put them in perspective. I to may end up at PSA, there fore I would be considered garbage having had no part of the vote. I would be the trash for accepting a job with a company that voted a certain contract.....I too will weigh my options and this may just be an acceptable set of options for me. I will conduct myself in a professional manner NO MATTER which airline or uniform I wear. This isn't I'm better than you, its I have pride that I put in the time to make myself marketable and I accepted the rules/contract at the time of hire. True professionals, what we all seek to be are going to act like it even in the face of adversity.

The get your time and get out theory is true. However if you torpedo the regional you leave behind those repercussions will follow you to your major career. Low costs and poor work rules at the regional level pulls more flying from the majors. The best way to get the flying back at the major level where you can make a career of this industry is to make it cost ineffective to farm our flying.

I don't understand why you guys can't figure that out.

I'm pretty sure the point he is making is that not everyone at PSA voted for this TA. In fact 144 of us voted against. Many weren't not eligible to vote at all, and some are just now joining the company. The blanket statement made by that hole nancy, (we are all scum bags), is bound to raise a few eye brows. Hey nancy, what's your resume and accomplishments look like compared to this new psa "scum bag"?

Exactly! For something more productive. Anyone know what my odds are in getting based in CLT as a new guy?
