I Love PSA

As for you guys interviewing that seems odd to me. There are currently about 5 of us who have not had the chance to come back yet. There are also another 18 that have bypassed or don't plan on coming back. With this said they have been running groups of 6 for the recall classes, if this trend continues you guys won't be on property until mid march. Maybe PSA is just being a little preemptive. Being prepared is nothing like this company. Just my thoughts.

Lets get some facts straight real fast.... 4 pilots have not had a chance to accept recall. If indeed there is another round of phone calls going out for Jan 3rd class or not, most likely those 4 will get a call.... Once they get a call the list will then go in reverse order to knock out the list. At which point you will have to accept recall or resign.
Now with saying that, there are roughly 23 TOTAL pilots still on furlough with recall rights. Of those 23 only 4 have not had a chance to come back. Of those 23 I would put an educated guess that only half will accept a recall ever... Thus after a couple of recall classes there will be a need for new hires...... As to when they would need new hires depends on how many recall classes are planned and will be run. That number is as always unknown....

Who knows whats going to happen. I know by looking at airlines like ASA, Eagle, AWAC etc... they had plenty of pilots who were on furlough to hiring in the matter of a few months.

That Jan 3rd class does not seem like it is going to happen. If it were going to happen you would think they would be making calls this week. I have not heard of anyone receiving a call yet. If they call next Monday that would only give guys two weeks to prepare for training and give their current employers notice. They start at the top of the list every time and work to the bottom I believe, Once everyone has been giving the chance at recall they start at the bottom and go back up, this is my understanding. The last recall took Jenifer almost a week and a half to get everyone to return her call. I hope that there is a recall class on Jan 3rd and that I'm in it. I'm not trying to start an argument these are just my thoughts.

Actually it is..... There will be a class of 4 on Jan 3rd. As of right now there have been zero to accept recall. Of the 23 pilots on furlough she is still waiting to hear back from 4 current phone calls. Until she hears back from those calls she can simply not continue down the list......The reason for this is because if she were to make it to the bottom of the list they need to know there are NO others below the most junior pilot and thus it then forces them to make that pilot to resign.
Basically the Jan 3rd class is a must due to staffing. The list will continued to be called as others defer the process. Like we all know it takes time. Those whom have calls into them need to make their mind up and thus the process would be able to proceed much quicker.....
