I Love PSA

Hahaha! Exactly!
This is why after being downgraded I probably will not go back to left seat at this airline, just to be treated like crap on reserve.
I'll take being in the top 10 FOs in base anyday for the QOL.
Until of course I move on or one day this contract is resolved and maybe (just maybe) reserve is livible. Hell I'd even take mainlines reserve system

I am in the pool, and will be traveling in January for the interview. I was wondering if someone could update me on working conditions at PSA. What is commuting like? Which bases are more senior, etc...? Also, what is Airways jumpseat policy to Mexico.

Upgrade at PSA is 5 plus years.
Just to get off reserve is 2 years.
PSA has the worst reserve policy in the industry. Maybe except for colgan. Mesa is better.
CLT/TYS/DAY bases.
I guess CLT is the most senior. Commuting blows all around. I did it for 5 years and really glad i don't now. We do 5 straight days of reserve sometimes 6. You start day 1 at 5am and finish last day at 9 or 10. So if you want to commute you will spend very little time at home.
DOn't know why they always start us at 5am on day one but something about keeping morale low.
We have a couple of good overnights. But if you are on reserve plan on spending 50% of your overnights in CAK. People don't call in sick for DAB or MLB.
My .02 is that if you live near a city that has a base for a regional airline i would choose that one.

As for you guys interviewing that seems odd to me. There are currently about 5 of us who have not had the chance to come back yet. There are also another 18 that have bypassed or don't plan on coming back. With this said they have been running groups of 6 for the recall classes, if this trend continues you guys won't be on property until mid march. Maybe PSA is just being a little preemptive. Being prepared is nothing like this company. Just my thoughts.
