My buddy got the call to interview on the 16th in CLT. 1900 T & 1200 multi with 135 experience. They called him just a few days after they got his resume. He's a new new hire - hadn't interviewed before.

New hire group interviews for the 2nd have been moved to the 9th and the 16th.

They posted the job opening for First Officers today. Job Openings

Does anyone think they will lower their minimums later this year?

ME time maybe. But without opening that link HR had enough applications. I told HR yesterday the link on job openings wasn't open yesterday. They'll probably get even more now. 1500tt wont budge for the time being.

Don't think any airline is going to hire less than 1500 ever again. Too many lawyers hiding and waiting for the next mishap.

Aren't eagle and awac both 800/100? Way to go pdt and psa... We're both behind the curve again...

Having higher standards is to be "behind the curve?" And regarding that 1500TT minimum, I can guarantee that by the end of 2011 there will be several 121 operators hiring people with 300TT, eager to staff before the impending legislation becomes effective.

Higher standards has nothing to do with it. But finding higher qualified pilots to come to PDT and PSA will be mor difficult when 2 better airlines are hiring with lower time. So yes, we will be forced to hire 300hr pilots again bc all the 1500hr guys and gals will be fighting over awac an eagle.
